Leadership

Minister: The Revd Kyle Mulholland

Kyle has served as the Minister of St Silas’ Church since 2024.

Kyle did not grow up in a Christian home but came to faith in Christ at the age of 22, and was baptized in 2012. After discerning a call to the ministry, he undertook pre-ordination training at Oak Hill Theological College in London from 2017-2020. He was ordained first deacon at Preston Minster in 2020, then presbyter at Blackburn Cathedral in 2021. From 2020-2024, he served as Assistant Curate in the parish of Ansdell and Fairhaven St Paul in the Diocese of Blackburn (Church of England). Though Kyle felt compelled to come out of the Church of England because of that institution’s departure from Scriptural teaching, he still sensed he should continue in some form of Anglican ministry. In 2023, Kyle felt that the Lord was moving him to investigate the possibility of ministry at St Silas’, Wolverhampton. After a process of discernment, Kyle was received into the Church of England (Continuing), and licensed as Minister of St Silas’ by the denomination’s Presiding Bishop, the Rt Revd Edward J. Malcolm, on 7 July 2024.

Kyle is married to Amy, who helps him lead the Sunday School ministry, and they have a daughter.
